Separating the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
When Jesus says the father is greater than him he means he is going to return to the father full splendor, not that he (Jesus) is not God.
“Why do you call me good” (Luke 18:19). Jesus is not saying a riddle. He means that in the context “are you being polite calling me good? If only you knew what you are really saying”.
Separating Spirit, Soul and Body
The weakness of Satan is that he speaks to us as if we have one component only when in fact we have body soul and spirit man. That is why the word is sharp as a sword can divide the sweet things and in that strength to fight Satan.
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
The soul is our mind, will and emotions. The spirit is actually from God. Nevertheless it is very difficult to separate them. Medicine tells,us that bone and marrow are indivisible. It is difficult to say where one ends and the other begins. This is why Scripture uses this analogy. The Word is so perfect it separates even what is almost inseparable.Everything happens to let you take away the light you take away the power. White is the most basic form of matter. A person does not have a soul a person is a soul.
Genesis 2:7
[7] Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
The breath of God plus the school equals life. God did not bless his soul inside of a body he placed his breath inside of the soul and it became alive.
Genesis 7:22
Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died.
There are two beings living inside the body. The old soul of the flesh and the new born baby of the Spirit. Man does not live on bread alone but on the word from God. It is saying that if we do not speak the word of God which is Jesus which is the light of the world to the new spirit man it will wither and die.
Love does not have to do with emotions. David Hogan said that most Christians are very emotional but not very spiritual. He seems to imply that one of these attributes exist at the expense of the other.
