AUTHORITY - Part 1

Faith backed up

Faith and authority go hand in hand. You have faith because you know what you have in Christ.

Ephesians 1:17-19
[17] I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. [18] I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, [19] and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms.

Authority is revelation on these things.
a) Who He called me to be.
b) What I have in Christ: His nature, provision, protection.
c) What I am called to do according to the full power of God.

The good, the bad and the ugly

Authority can be used for good or for bad, it can be used or abused. Heavenly authority is divinely given to provide blessings. God can and does bless anyone He wants to bless but the type of blessings addressed here are resulting from submission to authority.
As our authority is delegated authority (by God), our authority is limited by God's permissive and active will.
Just as we place ourselves under the authority of God's word, if we speak it over situations and people, in some cases, then they will be under our authority. In some cases praying over someone does not work: when there is unbelief or when the person in questions is making a conscious choice to reject God elsewhere in their life. In the same way, if we reject God he cannot help us.

Risk some, win some

When we are saved God does a lot in our lives. Many Christians believe that they can only progress into another level in the relationship with God by asking for a direct revelation from Him. God is generous and can come through. However, when it comes to claiming your authority it is not done by asking. You are the one who are supposed to step up and claim it. The container of faith is risk. You must risk by having the faith to standing on your power, your authority. It takes faith because you have no power but through the Father (John 19:11).

  • Authority is the right to speak over, to command.
  • Adam had the God given authority to name animals. Whatever name he gave them they kept by his authority.
  • Authority is given to activate and maintain the laws that govern a certain domain.
  • It is a privilege that we have as long as we stay redeemed and holy.
  • The authority is given to us. We don't have to cry and plead for it.
  • Abundant life is our inheritance but it is not automatic. No blessing of God is automatic. We have our part to play.
  • God had authority to give to Jesus but Jesus had a part to play until the very end.
  • We need to renew their mind to get out of carnality. This is done by subjecting our mind to the spirit.

GOD's WAR PLAN - introduction to a NEW BLOG

So in continuing my breakthrough, one of the things that happened and that God clearly told me to do was to study all the battles in the Bible.

I was studying this passage:
Ephesians 6:12
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

It was one of those beautiful moments for me when the Holy Spirit is sending a bunch of messages so fast and so accurate are computed by my overloaded brain leading to a one thread theme that becomes clearer as I start typing.

On a grand scale this may read our fight is not against the rulers of countries that oppose us but against the principalities that rule over those nationsWhen we stick closely to the Word it seems, as a whole, that the war to come will be fought by armies but we should not worry because we will live in the Spirit and not in the flesh so we will have advantage.

I have a notion that I may find a "war plan" in the Bible to put together verses that give us assurance of the nature of this spiritual warfare mentioned in
Ephesians 6:13.
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

NEW BLOG
I would gather and present these verses to the world and to prepare them for the war to come along reinforcing all the other ministries preaching end times out there. The objective is to show how God is still in operation today as he has been in historical wars.

Would that be the task that God wanted for me? The verses would also prove that we are to fight with the spirit and how that ends up being more powerful than flesh. We are to trust God and not the world for our victory. Given my background of studying war this made a lot of sense.

It became clear to me that I would need a separate blog for this so, I created www.GodsWarPlan.com

Fully Saved will continue here but for the study of God's power evident through conflict please go to
