SALVATION - Part 5

Belief in Jesus alone won't save you (WHAT?!)

Yes Jesus is the ONLY way. I'll explain.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

God gave up Jesus in order for us to be saved. The condition of our salvation lies on the giving up of Jesus. Our belief in Jesus would not be worth anything if he had not been sacrificed. Belief in Jesus, the son of God, on its own means nothing. Jesus would have been another historical figure as much of the world would have us believe. Actually, the world is right! If you believe in that Jesus then you’ll get just what you believe in: teachings from a nice man.

Salvation is the belief in the risen Jesus. Belief in the Christ. That belief brings life, is life. Belief in the risen Jesus is conditioned on belief that Jesus died for a reason. That reason was sacrifice. Belief in that sacrifice is conditioned on belief that it was necessary to atone for sin. The question now is, how is that process accomplished? It's amazing that if I tell people this, the vast majority doesn't question that the Bible is a series of man made stories etc. They start addressing the message itself: “but I’m not that bad of a person” etc. Or “there is no hell, it’s on earth”.

My point is that deep down they don’t question the message of wrongdoing needing atonement. What they do is start justifying.
No degree of justification is not enough. Jesus is enough. I mean, can you really atone for your wrongdoing? Deep down you know there is emptiness and it is never enough, no matter what you do.

Faith comes by hearing but it operates by speaking

It is the Grace hat has saved us but it was faith that made it possible. Romans 4:16
Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring---not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.

Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith---and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--- [9] not by works, so that no one can boast.

Faith comes by hearing but it operates by speaking. Romans 10:10
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Vocalization of faith

1.   Words.

2.   Laughter.

3.   Shout.

4.   Singing.

Do these every week (and don't forget #3) and see what happens!
